6 Days Uganda Chimpanzees, Gorillas and Wildlife Safari: The 6 day Uganda Chimpanzees, Gorillas and Wildlife safari with chimp and gorilla trekking will take you to various tourist destinations in the Western and South-western parts of Uganda such as Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking; it sits on an area of 331sqkm and is home to mountain gorillas as well as a number of other wildlife species such as over 220 butterfly species, 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds, trees, plants, ferns, and others.
Kibale Forest National Park is home to 13 primate species, the most famous of which are Chimpanzees, with over 100 individuals living in each group. Other animals you could encounter include black and white colobus, baboons, bush infants, and L’Hoest monkeys, among others.
You will also pay a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is located 376 kilometers from Kampala and is home to a variety of animal species including 10 primates, over 500 bird species, 95 mammal species elephants, antelopes, buffaloes, and climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. A launch cruise in the Kazinga Channel will provide scenic opportunities.

Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Kibale National-Bigodi Nature Walk.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking – transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Detailed Itinerary 6 Days Uganda Chimpanzee, Gorillas and Wildlife Safari.
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Kibale National Park – Bigodi nature walk
Depending on your location, you will be picked up by our company representative/ driver who will drive to Kibale national park- the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Arrive in the park in the afternoon for lunch in fort portal town, then go for a 2-3 hours’ nature walk in Bigodi wetland before you proceed to your lodge in Kibale. Dinner and overnight stay at Chimpanzee Guest house main house for mid-range/Isunga lodge for budget/Kyaninga lodge for luxury on full board basis.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking – transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
After breakfast you will go for chimpanzee trekking with your packed food and water. Meet your guide at the head office then enter the rainforest to start searching for the chimpanzee, this will take 2-5 hours to find the chimpanzees. On seeing them, you will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees while taking pictures.
Chimps in Kibale
After tracking, you will refresh at the lodge then proceed to transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park which is located in Kasese district. This is a 3 hours’ drive from Fort portal with en route visit of the crater lakes. Dinner and overnight at Pumba Safari Cottages for budget/Parkview Safari lodge for mid-range/Kyambura Gorge lodge for luxury
Day 3: Lion tracking/Game drive and Boat cruise
Very early morning, meet your guide for the lion tracking experience where you are guaranteed seeing the lions; you will also spot a good number of wildlife including Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes and all species of antelopes. You will enjoy a bush breakfast. Return to the lodge and have lunch.
After enjoying your lunch at the lodge, go for your boat trip along the Kazinga channel for yet another wildlife/bird watching experience as you cruise on lake Edward/George. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
After breakfast early in the morning, you drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for your gorilla trekking experience with en route lunch. Accommodation will be provided depending on your trekking sector. Dinner and overnight stay at Ichumbi Gorilla lodge/Bakiga lodge for either budget or mid-range option/Nkuringo Gorilla lodge/Gahinga lodge for luxury
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have an early morning breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing by the ranger guides before embarking on your gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable forest. Head into the forest and trek until you find the gorillas. Gorilla trekking can take 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. After finding the gorillas in Bwindi, you will be allowed only 1 hour and then return. Your driver / guide will drive you back to your hotel to relax and spend another night as above.
Day 6; Transfer Back to Kampala
After an early breakfast, transfer back to Kampala with a lunch stop in Mbarara, arriving in Kampala in the evening. Drop you at your Kampala hotel or the airport for your onward trip, bringing your Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth Safari to a close.

Passenger Information
- Passengers should bring only duffle bags safaris{not suitcases}
- All the passengers must have Identification Card/Passport with them for internal flights.
- Baggage on domestic flights is strictly limited to 15kgs per person (including hand luggage). Any excess baggage will be charged by the airline at check-in.
- Passengers arriving to Tanzania may be asked to present a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
- Tourist Visa will be obtained at the entry points, but it is advisable to double check before travelling to Tanzania.
